Managed Networks and Connectivity Solutions

Does your business require to connect multiple sites or branch offices to your Network; whether within Zanzibar, the Mainland, or Internationally? Do you need a partner that can support this?

ZANLINK’s managed Virtual Private Network (VPN) solutions are the answer to this. This is possible now without having to heavily invest into your own expensive VPN or WAN solutions. All you need to do is to piggyback on ZANLINK WAN and let ZANLINK manage your network and let you focus on your business.

ZANLINK Network infrastructure; built over the fiber optical and Motorola canopy platform with backhaul links connecting various repeaters spans over various strategic areas in Zanzibar and Pemba. Furthermore, ZANLINK is also connected and is peering to TIX (Tanzania Internet Exchange) in Dar Es Salaam which makes it possible for offices with branches in Zanzibar and the mainland to seamlessly connect to each other and share resources as if they are in the same Network. As such ZANLINK has managed to build and maintain a Wide Area Network (WAN) that covers a vast area and can easily provide many convergent services to our clients.

A wide area network (WAN) is a network that spans a wider geographical area ranging from several blocks of buildings to entire cities. Examples are connecting buildings such as those of University campus or corporate headquarters together.

Although WANs serve similar purpose to that of LANs, they are structured and operated quite differently. In most cases the user of a WAN usually does not own the communications lines that connect the remote sites but rather subscribes to a third party service provider for example an ISP like ZANLINK.

WANs are often used by larger corporations or organizations with multiple locations to facilitate the exchange of data and increasing their communications capabilities. Such Organizations may use the WANs to share voice, data as well as image transmission (such as video conferencing). These applications have spurred significant growth in WAN usage in today’s world.

ZANLINK’s managed Virtual Private Network (VPN) solutions have the following benefits:

  • Single point of contact, broader geographical reach. ZANLINK can connect your Organizations Networks/branches either within Zanzibar and Pemba, between Zanzibar and the Mainland or between Zanzibar and Internationally.
  • Multiple Network access technology including fiber optical backbone, Motorola Canopy platform, or redline solution.
  • Flexible, scalable solution that can be configured using a range of technologies and protocols including IPSec VPN, or Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLAS).
  • Guaranteed local and International bandwidth from 128kbps and higher.
  • No need to own or manage your own Network and thus lower CAPEX and OPEX. ZANLINK does this for you!
